SEC Charges Goldman Sachs with Fraud - Roundtable Discussion April 20, 2010

On April 16, 2010, The SEC filed charges against Goldman, Sachs & Co. for defrauding investors by omitting information about a financial product tied to subprime mortgages.  The charges raised numerous questions about a financial institution that had escaped the recent financial crisis relatively unscathed.  As the news continued to develop, the traders and portfolio managers decided to have a timed roundtable discussion about the charges, their effect on the market, and the future of Goldman Sachs.  Below, you can read detailed notes about that discussion prepared by the junior traders.
